I’m Andreia, an HCPC-registered Occupational Therapist.
Over the past decade, I’ve worked in the NHS, private practice, and mainstream schools. I’ve completed postgraduate training in Ayres Sensory Integration, neurodiversity-affirming practice and trauma-informed care.
From experience, I know that the most meaningful progress happens when families and schools feel involved and supported. That’s often more important than weekly sessions which is why I prioritise a collaborative approach where we all work together to understand what’s behind the challenges and to find strategies that genuinely fit into everyday routines. It’s about building support that feels realistic, flexible, and sustainable over time.
I’m always updating my knowledge so I can offer support that’s practical, respectful, and grounded in current thinking. These are the trainings that most influence how I work:
Ayres Sensory Integration – CLASI (Collaborative for Leadership in Ayres Sensory Integration)
Neurodiversity-affirming approaches – Ausome Training, ADHD4OT, At Peace Parents
CO-OP Approach (Cognitive Orientation to daily Occupational Performance) – CO-OP Academy UK
Reflex integration and rhythmic movement – Move Play Thrive (Brain and Sensory Foundations)
Yoga and mindfulness for children – Special Yoga Foundation
ADHD and executive functioning support – ADHD4OT, OT4ADHD
Neurodiversity In Coaching – Animas
BSc in Occupational Therapy (Hons) – IPLeiria
